No it isn't difficult to change the transmission fluid. All you need to do is find the drain plug on the transmission pan and unscrew it as if it were the engine oil drain plug. So back to the story, remove the drain plug and let the fluid drain out, then unbolt the pan buy removing the 10-15 or so pan bolts around the edge. The gasket may be a little stuck so a gentle pry will work the remove carefully with plenty of towels around. When the pan is off and out of the way you can now change the transmission filter. The filter is normally bolted with 3-4 bolts from the bottom, using the new transmission filter will help you locate the old filter and the bolt location. The bolts are small so don't over tighten when reassembling. Pan is pretty straight forward when going back on with a new gasket. Be sure when refilling the transmission you have the correct type of transmission fluid. Fill the fluid through the dipstick hole with a small funnel and when the fluid level gets to the proper location on the stick let the transmission thoroughly warm up and recheck.
