How you change it is the easy part. You have to drop the transmission pan unless the changed and put drain plugs in them there is only one that I know of that has a drain plug.There are at least 20 bolts that have to come out get a drain pan and take out the first 5 or 6 bolts on either side or enough to let the pan drop down far enough to drain the fluid.after it drains take the pan off and clean it out and scrape off the old gasket off just be careful not to get any deep scratches in the pan an old putty knife works pretty good make sure you scrape off all the old gasket off of the transmission to. Take off the old filter and take note of how it goes on all of the parts you need will be in the box with the new filter like the new gasket when you put the new one on you might be tempted to use some gasket maker to hold the new one on resist the urge.probably the easiest thing you can do get a threaded rod you can get them at Lowe's and have it cut down to around 4 rods about 6 or 8 inches a piece and thread them in to your transmission at the 4 corners and put the new gasket on these rods and then the pan it will hold the gasket straight while the pan goes on put the rest of the transmission pan bolts in one at a time and when you get to the rods take them out and put the bolt back in refill it with 3.7 Quarts start it check for leaks and you are goodDoes anyone know how to change the transmission fluid on a 2007 scion tc?
it is rather easy
You have to get under the car and unscrew the transmission oil pan bolt (or bolt may be on transmission)
You probably dont have a cap for your transmission fluid to go it so you will need to take out the transmission dipstick and use a funnel to get trans fluid in the trans
