How often should I change transmission fluid in a Honda Civic (auto 06) ?

The dealership says 30,000 miles, sounds rather soon to me.How often should I change transmission fluid in a Honda Civic (auto 06) ?
I would take there advice and change it at 30k miles. I would change it sooner if you smell the dip stick and it smells burnt or there are metal shavings on the stick, or if it looks sludgy when the fluid it warm. How often should I change transmission fluid in a Honda Civic (auto 06) ?
No

It's not

30,000 sounds about right, actually.

The tranny shop that rebuilt mine recommended once a year.

I have a filter that takes out more dirt than the tranny can make, and I change it once or twice a year.

30,000 miles is a good recommendation. Depending on your driving style. If most of your driving is long highway miles, you could probably go 40-50,000. If you don't change the fluid, it starts to get thicker and the tolerences are too tight in that transmission for thicker fluid. How often should I change transmission fluid in a Honda Civic (auto 06) ?
