If you want to change about a third of the trans fluid.. go ahead and just pull the drain plug on the trans pan. but if you want to replace most of it... go to a shop that offers a flush. that should get most of the fluid out.How to change automatic transmission fluid in Toyota 4runner 1994?
run your car in all the gears to heat the fluid

%26gt;jack it up, most cars dont have a drain plug so carefully remove all the bolts leaving one side attached so the oil can drain.

%26gt;remove the filter/gasket/o ring that holds the filter

%26gt;replace the gasket/filter/place o ring on filter and push till snug so the filter stays attached to the tranny

%26gt;bolt up, add tranny fluid

There is a drain plug on the trans oil pan, warm the trans up first an then just remove the plug just like a oil change.

You fill it through the trans tube, where the dip stick is.

Usually takes 3 Qts depends on how long you let it drain.

Make sure you get a new gasket for the drain plug.

Check the fluid level when in park and level, trans must be warm to get a proper reading.

Do not over fill it is just as bad as under filling.
