2000 acura integra manual transmission fluid?

I need to know what to buy to change my transmission fluid for a 5 speed manual transmission. I understand that I am suppose to have a %26quot;crushed%26quot; washer for both the filler plug and the drain plug but no one at the auto store knows what I am talking about. Was I given the wrong name for the washer or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And please don't tell me to go to a shop and get it done. I can figure out how to change transmission fluid out on my own. Thank you =)2000 acura integra manual transmission fluid?
haha you can figure it out lol good for you but this is a guide on how to do it: very helpful to us integra owners =] http://www.team-integra.net/sections/art

i think you will have to go to honda for the crushed washer... i always go to honda for my OE parts

most manual there is a plug under the car on the rback or side of trans... and a fill plug about same place but high up on the side... best if you just pay some one.. but if you want you jack up car get unde rit to drain it not hard.... but filling you have to squeaze the gear oil back in so buy like three bottles ... or get a real long runbber hose.. fill til you can touch the oil with little finger or it runs out... easy to do if its on a lift and you have a pump2000 acura integra manual transmission fluid?
the trans fluid is 2.5quarts - 3quarts of 5w 30 or 10w 30 oil only. all honda manual trans use motor oil. only the autos use dexronlll/mercon. for the washers, best is to go to an acura dealer and buy them. the joe schmo shops get their stuff from companies that replicate the replacement parts and sometimes it doesn't fit right and all they can do is just match it to the best that they can with what ever they have that's closest to dimensions..2000 acura integra manual transmission fluid?
you dont need to replace the washers....there is a bottom bolt that needs to be taken out to drain and a bolt on top to refill...just like how azn street racer gave...but you can also fill it from the top at the reverse sensor which is a whole lot easier.....its going to take about 2 quarts (check in your manual for the correct amount) of 10w30 or go to the dealer and get some syncro mesh...2000 acura integra manual transmission fluid?
go to grease and go or jiffylube and let the pros be responsible for screwing up your car...or you could screw it up all on your own!!!2000 acura integra manual transmission fluid?
The washer you're talking about is only for the oil pan. The transmission pan and filler plug don't have the washers.

To remove the transmission fluid, you use a 3/8%26quot; socket wrench, you don't even need a socket because the wrench fits right on the plug and turn counter-clockwise (looking at the bolt) to unscrew. Drain the fluid and put the plug back on.

The filler plug is going to be on the %26quot;outside%26quot; of the transmission, the side that faces the wheel. You'll see a plug on the side, near the top of the transmission, but on the side, not the top facing up. This one you'll need to use a 15 or 16 mm socket. Same thing, turn counter-clockwise looking at bolt, to unscrew off. Use a long rubber hose and a funnel to feed the transmission fluid down. Keep filling until the fluid starts to run out that hole. This means you've reached the top and you can stop. Put the plug back in and tighten.

Keep in mind, for a manual transmission, you DO NOT use automatic transmission fluid (DEXRON II or III, or any other ATF types). You use regular motor oil. I used Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil 5w30 in my Teg (it's a 92, but same thing). Some say you should not use synthetic, but I've been using it for 220K now and now issue.

Good luck.
