How do you change the transmission fluid in a 1999 ford contour?

i have a oldsmobile cutlass ciera which you have to take the whole tranny pan out and change the tranny seal so i'm comparing it to that, but unfortunately, ford and gm are never even close to being the same...

so do i have to take the pan out and change the tranny seal or is there possibly an easier way to change the fluid? possibly just a bolt? if so please tell me where it could be under the car so i dont have to spend half the day under this car!!

thanks for the input! How do you change the transmission fluid in a 1999 ford contour?
There's a plug, either 3/8 drive or 1/2 drive ratchet to remove it, though only a quart may come out. Once drained start engine for15 seconds and might have more oil come out. You can only remove a couple of quartsHow do you change the transmission fluid in a 1999 ford contour?
I would recommend you take it to a qualified place to do this. They will hook up a pump that will recycle all your fluid, including what's in the lines and the cooler, a static fluid change will not change all that fluid. They will also be able to dispose of the fluid correctly.
