Understand that only 3 quarts are changed in an ATF fluid change, leaving 3 quarts of old fluid inside.... is it necesssary to remove all 6 quarts? Also is there a filter to change for the Automatic Transmission... can one use any other ATF fluid apart from Honda ATF Z1? How easy is this as a DIY job??How often does one need to change ATF fluid in Honda Accord 1999?
Change is around 100k mi, no filter. Its pretty easy, but you need a pump to get the fluid into the case from the fluid container.
