It should be listed in the owners manual. If not I would call a dealer. If I had to geuss I would say 4 to 8 quarts. Not sure how they fill as I play with 73-87 Chevy trucks. Most manual transmissions have a fill plug in the side. You fill them until oil comes out the fill hole. How much fluid does a 95 gmc3500 manual transmission take?
start with a gallon in ahalf then add more while it is running. usually depending on the what trans you got 700r or t400 it should be between 12 and 14 quarts. I know it seems like a lot but thats what it is. let the tranny get to temp before adding more fluid after you put in the first gallon and a half. If you just installed the trans you should have put fluid in the converter first if not go ahead and proceed with the above directions. How much fluid does a 95 gmc3500 manual transmission take?
it takes gear fluid, after drained, you fill it by removing a cap bolt on the side of the transmission, and fill it with a hand held suck pump, not fun, the fluid is sucked up the pump and squeezed out a rubber tube into the tranny, there is no dipstick when fluid is at the top of the side hole and no more can be added, it is full.
